Initially slow to join the McCain camp, the ORAMA organization has decided to throw its full support behind the Republican candidate. According to ORAMA President Galbraith Hunter, the tipping point for the organization occurred when, during a recent interview with the organization Politico, the candidate seemed to have trouble remembering exactly how many homes he owns. Hunter explains: "It was a humbling moment for all of us who have approached McCain’s campaign up to this point with a certain mixture of caution and tepidness. With the Politico statement, however, McCain not only dispelled any swirling rumors about a potentially troubling personal-debt-to-asset ratio, he showed that he could finally relate passionately and honestly to one of our dearest causes: real-estate acquisition. We feel that this positions him in sharp contrast to Barack Obama, who only owns a single house, that, regrettably, he is still paying off. We hope to get more of this kind of straight talk from McCain at the upcoming Convention -- and moving forward.” |
